I Paint You

For the victims of war, especially the children. I changed the third last line from “Your Sketch is My Freedom” to “torment”…only because I wanted to focus on the suffering verses those of us who have no idea what suffering from war is. That would be me, as I have never had a direct connection to war. My heart goes out to those who have.

I was completely inspired to write this poem for Susan Boyle from Britain’s Got Talent 2009. She truly moved me to tears with her performance. Congratulations Susan!
