Well what is Biscotti, without a “Nonni”; Nonni is an affectionate term for grandmother. Many grandmothers have perfected their Biscotti recipe and take pride in passing it down from generation to generation.
I think it’s fair to say that our busy lives prevent many of us from “cooking like our grandmother” and this forces us to find the best biscotti we can buy. Don’t cringe! it’s not all that bad! There is a delicious Biscotti made my Nonni’s; the number one best seller of Biscotti in the US. Oh, yes, they are good! So if your life is purely insane, don’t hesitate to let your guests dip this Biscotti in their wine or coffee.
I know most of you reading this already know what a Biscotti is, but just in case: A Biscotti is a thick, brittle, oblong cookie made with the intention to dip into wine, cocoa or coffee. Biscotti is originally from Italy and actually means “twice baked”. They’re called “twice baked” because they need to be baked for the correct length of time so that their texture has a very dry crunch. Pure and simple, they were made for dipping. You don’t need to be a rocket scientist to know that after dipping your Biscotti, it becomes easier to chew.
The best biscotti used to be, and maybe still is, the traditional almond flavored Biscotti. However if you’re a lover of many tastes, then you can find Nonni’s Biscotti in many exotic flavors.
