Optical Illusion Posters

You can find a selection of Optical Illusion Posters here – They can be framed and mounted as well – A great idea for a business entry way (good conversation piece). Or a unique concept to decorate a restaurant wall in – Keeping patrons busy trying to solve the puzzles as they wait!

In These Feathered Fields

Walking across soft fields

in colored songs not black or white

I meet ten million souls

Who dance my arduous plight

mountains of whispering feathers

flitter all about

until one by one these sweeping dreams

rest on the ground, worn-out

but as the last wilted feather falls

souls begin to shout

while I lift my weary head

they don’t let my flame go out

each hands me back a feather

to give me needed peace

making me immortal

they don’t let my music cease

they bless my final dance

and willingly outpour

a love filled last hurrah

but they’ve given so much more

you see

a journey such as mine

ached for faith restored

and as I say goodbye

my soul now freely soars

in these feathered fields

through these open doors

I Am My Mothers Daughter

“Listen to the Song” – I Am My Mothers Daughter

(VERSE 1)
She sits alone

rewinding her life story

wondering did she do enough

does she know I Am all I Am because of her

found my place in this world

‘cause of the shoulders she let me lean on

‘cause of the tears she wiped away

does she know I love my life

‘cause of how she paved my paths

does she know when I lay my head down

I thank her first and last

for what she’s given of herself

and though many years have passed

I am now a woman who can see

my mother’s life story told through me

(CHORUS)

I am my mothers daughter

I am the light that shines for others

cause she let her light shine bright on me

I am my mothers daughter

filled with hope during adversity

I am my mothers daughter

she’s forever in my heart

I am my mothers daughter

I am her work of art

(VERSE 2)

Holding my child I know

I hold a piece of my mothers love

she put me first so many times

as I will do for mine

‘cause of the lessons she always taught me

‘cause of the way in which she carried herself

does she know I gather strength from her

‘cause of her compassionate grace

does she know I pass the stories down

for her grandkids to embrace

(BRIDGE to FINAL CHORUS)

As my children’s life begin

I am my mother’s student painter

who loves with all her heart

because…

I am my mothers daughter

I am the light that shines for others

cause she let her light shine bright on me

I am my mothers daughter

filled with hope during adversity

I am my mothers daughter

she’s forever in my heart

I am my mothers daughter

I am her work of art

Song dedicated to my mother, but written for all mothers.

Hidden Dreams Can Sometimes Be

A dream it inches in the wind

not knowing the way it flies

it finds a place for tired wings

then left alone it dies

never to be seen again

until that time

one day when

the wind swoops down

and lifts the dream

to a place it will be seen

It teaches it to fly again

without the power of the wind

Now the dream floats freely

on it’s own

and finds it’s rightful place

it’s home

a place for all the world to see

that hidden dreams

can sometimes be

what drives a soul

a destiny

I was completely inspired to write this poem for Susan Boyle http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9lp0IWv8QZY from Britain’s Got Talent 2009. She truly moved me to tears with her performance. Congratulations Susan!

Your One Thing

If you were put on this earth to do just one thing,
What would that one thing be
Would you arch your back to the moon
And belt out a passionate Dion tune
Would you fly to Africa
Or go around the corner to feed those hungrier
Would you fundraise for those less fortunate
Without glory, without praise
Would you lead the blind
Aid the deaf
Assist those inept
Or put your thoughts to paper giving out pleasure
For all to measure
Or would you gently tap humanity’s shoulder with this question
In hopes that after pondering some would take action
Does nobility exist in one or all of these
Or is the nobility knowing who you are
And what that one thing would be

Poem, Destiny: This poem was written with our own personal life’s purpose in mind. What is that you were put on this earth to do, to complete, to perfect. What is each of our contribution to this world suppose to be. We are all here to perfect something. So in very simple words, I ask this question in this poem. What is your one thing. I don’t mean that we are here for literally “one” thing, rather I’m speaking of our overall life’s theme.

Your Best Friend

Your best friend must be a certain person,
a person who guides your way,
a person who fills your heart with peace,
and helps you through your day

When you are hurt inside,
and the pain is immense,
worry not, for it is not the end,
someone will be there to help you through,
and that someone will be your friend

When you are proud of an act or an accomplishment,
and you need a person to tell,
then remind yourself of that person you have,
that person you know so well

When you are down and out,
and have no one to call,
just think what your best friend can do,
your best friend is well-known and needed a lot,
for your best friend must always be you

Poem: “Your Best Friend”…A simple poem I wrote in the 80′s as a “birthday card poem” or a “plaque poem”.
