There’s no doubt we Canadians are masters of self deprecating humor, so much so, that some of our Country Music Songs featuring this great land are hilarious! Of course, like everyone else, we’re proud of our country and you’ll also find inspirational country music about Canada as well.

Listen and Watch ‘Truck Got Stuck’ …You’ll Laugh! Don’t Miss all the Little Bits of the Story!

The Chev got stuck and the Ford got stuck, Got the Chev unstuck when the Dodge showed up, But the Dodge got stuck in the tractor rut, Which eventually pulled out the Ford, And the Dodge’ (Lyrics).

Truck Got Stuck tells about the day’s exciting episode of Canadian country boys trying to unstuck all the trucks that got stuck pulling out the first truck! …The Ford, The Chev, and the Dodge…the normally dry Canadian Prairie’s had seen rain that caused ‘financial joys and biblical fears’.
It’s a comical song that you cannot help but laugh through! It tells the story about the guys and these stuck trucks in typical country music story telling style.

You’ll find thirteen terrific tracks on this album including ‘Truck Got Stuck’. Corb Lund is actually, Corb Lund and the Hurtin’ Albertans, a popular Canadian Country Music Band. To date they’ve released seven albums. Band members are Kurt Ciesla on Bass, Grant Siemens on Guitar as well as other Strings and Brad Valgardson on drums. On August 14th, 2012 they released their seventh album ‘Cabin Fever’. It reached number 1 on the Canadian Country Music Charts. They’ve deservedly received numerous honors and awards in country music.

Here’s the Playlist of Songs about Canada:

We Have Bryan Adams, You Have Bruce Springsteen, But We Can Drink in Bars When We’re Just 19

Stronger Beer is a musical comedy comparison between the USA and Canada – the best part is that it’s fun without being insulting to either country. If you have a wacky sense of humor you’ll love this song..We say ‘eh’ you say y’all, we say Zed you say Zee’ (lyrics).

The song sarcastically identifies the differences in our words, our money, our football teams, and of course our favorite donut shops! It admits that you have a stronger army down there, but hold your horses people… we have ‘stronger beer’ … We can get loaded a little faster (I think it’s a money saving point. Not.)

So if you live on the border of the USA and Canada and you’re having a multi-country party, this song is sure to be a hit!
Tim Hicks, (born August 22 1979) is a Canadian Country Music Singer-Songwriter from St. Catharines Ontario. You can find ‘Stronger Beer’ on his debut studio album, ‘Throw Down’, which was released on August 27th, 2013. The album was nominated for Country Album of the Year at the 2014 Juno Awards. You can find 12 super tracks on this album which also includes his two hits, ‘Get By’ and ‘Hell Raisin’ Good Time’.

Canadian Girls by Dean Brody – “Irresistible, Loveable, Trouble”

Of course the song is all in fun about the northern loving nature of us Canadian gals! ‘She grew up watching hockey with her daddy on a Saturday Night’ <—-Well that’s the truth! No question, Hockey Night in Canada was (is) a staple in our house! Now that I’m the mom of four sons there really isn’t any other choice…it’s hockey overload in my house. Thank goodness for the internet!

The song points out that we can get away with, and still look sexy, in high heels or flannels <—- A man wrote that lyric. lol. But what the hell, I’ll try wearing both at the same time…for the hockey game on Saturday Night.

Apparently we like the smell of coffee on an old wood stove <—-YES!!!! who doesn’t. In fact, this Canadian Girl would put a wood stove in her house just to smell that first thing in the morning!

The song says we look sexy in a touque, and we love snowstorms and Gordon Lightfoot …Yes again on all counts. It’s spring now, winter’s been hard, but I love snow storms!

8:30 Newfoundland (This is Our Home) by the Mike Plume Band – A Song About Canada from Sea to Sea

This song takes you on a trip of Canada from the Atlantic Ocean to the Pacific Ocean. Of course it’s a song filled with Canadian pride, but for me it’s more than that; it reminds me of my family, more specifically my recently passed father. Dad worked on the Pipeline and we traveled Canada from one end to the other many times with dad when we were growing up. We lived in many different provinces, and I have relatives in just about every province.

I think for me, what strikes me the most are the towns, cities and major intersections they mention in this song…every one listed is a place I’ve either been to or heard about from Dad…even Flin Flon! I sure was a lucky girl to get to see so much of our great country. Yes, there’s no doubt about it, this song reminds me of my early years with mom and dad.
