4 Country Songs that Get Stuck in Your Head

1. Truck Got Stuck, by Corb Lund

If you’ve never heard ‘Truck Got Stuck’ by Corb Lund, then you’re in for a treat! Both the song and the video are hilarious. This very catchy tune is precisely about what the song says it is ….’ the truck got stuck.’

(Lyrics) ‘The Chev got stuck, and the Ford got stuck, but the Chev unstuck when the Dodge showed up, but the Dodge got stuck in the tractor rut, which eventually pulled out the Ford…and the Dodge’ Told in narration fashion, you’ll be hooked from the first line; it’s comical, catchy and it will get stuck in your head.

If you enjoy a little humor in your country song, then do yourself a favor and listen to this enjoyable crazy lyric of a bunch of guys getting together to pull out numerous trucks from the Prairie mud.

Corb Lund and the Hurtin’ Albertans are a Canadian Country Music Band from Alberta, Canada. They’ve won numerous music awards, including their win of Roots Artist/Group of the Year in 2013 at the Canadian Country Music Awards; This particular album includes 12 terrific songs. Take a break and enjoy ‘Truck Got Stuck,’ although it will get stuck in your head, you won’t mind – It’s pure entertainment.

2. Achy Breaky Heart by Billy Ray Cyrus

(Lyrics) ‘Don’t Tell My Heart My Achy Breaky Heart, I Just Don’t Think He’d Understand’

You’ve probably heard this song more than once, and if you haven’t, you’re about to experience one of the classic ‘stuck in your head songs.’ The beat alone is contagious. Now combine the beat with the bouncy lyrics, and you’re officially trapped in an achy-breaky loop.

The lyrics take many turns from the original opening verse where he says, ‘you can tell the world that you never was my girl’ and she can tell a whole list of other wacky things, just don’t tell his heart…his achy breaky heart’. His poor broken heart can’t take much more.

In typical repetitive country music style, the addiction to this song isn’t the story of the broken heart; it’s the tune itself. Just writing these paragraphs and listening to this song has caused me to sing it in my head over and over.

3. The Streak by Ray Stevens

(Lyrics) They call him The Streak…Boogity, Boogity

You’ve more than likely heard ‘The Streak.’ If you haven’t, then you’ll laugh your butt off, and yes, these lyrics will get stuck in your head.

This classic humorous country song is written from the perspective of ‘The Reporter’ and ‘The Witness’ – The song unfolds as a news event where ‘The Streaker’ is appearing around town ‘buck nekid’…and ‘Ethel is repeatedly warned, ‘Don’t look Ethel’ …(Lyrics) Don’t look Ethel – but it was too late – She’d already got a free shot. Grandstandin, right there in front of the home team’!

If you need a laugh break, pretty much any Ray Stevens song is going to give you that! He’s the master of humor in song~

(Lyrics) “Oh, yes, they call him the Streak
Look at that, look at that
Fastest thing on two feet
Look at that, look at that
He’s just as proud as he can be
Of his anatomy
He goin’ give us a peek”

4. I Pray for You by Jaron – Sarcastic Humor that You Will Remember

I pray all your dreams never come true
Just know wherever you are honey, I pray for you”
