THE STORY BEHIND THE LYRICS
I wrote and produced this piece on May 15th, 2026. Many of us struggle with the complications of life. What inspired me to write these lyrics was to look at life’s challenges through the eyes of Mother Earth. It’s cliché, however, without the rain, how can there be flowers? How can there be trees? How can the grass be green? Even in storms, the Earth finds a way to restore its balance, and I think that’s a beautiful message for us to remember. What a wonderful thought, that if we hold on to Nature’s energy, we may rediscover our center and possibly find our way through our challenges.
I don’t mean to minimize anyone’s struggles, or even my own, because life can definitely feel overwhelming at times. However, I personally believe in the quote, “this too shall pass,” and I feel the Earth is living proof of those words by how it functions and restores itself. The way I tend to write story lyrics is to acknowledge life’s complications while also offering a point of grace or hope. Knowing that renewal is always possible is a good way to try to face our lives.
